Parent/Guardian Expectations
Webster Street Academy believes that success is cultivated in environments where communication is open, on-going and positive in nature. In order to promote this type of environment, parents and guardians are expected to comply with the following requests:
• Consistently ensure that the Webster Street Academy staff has your correct contact information, especially a phone number in case of an emergency.
• Consistently participate in all requested meetings and conferences.
• Consistently hold your child accountable for his or her own actions/choices without focusing on excuses or blaming others.
• Consistently view mistakes and poor choices as opportunities to learn, which can ultimately lead to positive outcomes.
• Consistently support team decisions, including disciplinary consequences, as part of the process for your child’s development and maturation.
• Consistently follow through with oversight of your child’s participation in the SSR reading program, including documentation of progress.
