Weather Policy

Students attending Webster Street Academy will follow the same inclement weather schedule as Dayton City Schools. Families and guardians are advised to listen to local TV and radio stations for announcements of closings or delayed openings. Please note that Dayton Public Schools are on a year-round schedule and there remains a slight chance that Webster Street Academy could be in session while they are on break. In this situation, families are advised to follow the inclement weather schedule for their home school system.

Some students may live in areas where the weather and/or conditions may be worse than in the Dayton Metropolitan area. If Webster Street Academy (Dayton City Schools) is open, but road conditions between your home and Webster Street Academy are hazardous, please do not put yourself at risk by attempting to drive to the program. Call 937.463.2955) and inform us of your circumstances. If school days are to be made up due to the cancellation of school, the least disruptive alternative will be implemented.
